When you’re shopping last minute whether its for the holidays or any other type of gift, remember to quick check your email or store app for any reward points and or coupons before checking out.
Half the time these emails go overlooked or are considered spam but in these cases it’s just what I’m looking for, heck we can all stand to save a few bucks.
My son and I were Christmas shopping and he wanted to get a gift for my mom. Like most young guys they’re a bit lost.. especially when shopping for a woman, but his heart was in the right place.

During Valentines Day they even carry fresh and locally grown hand-dipped chocolate covered strawberries!
Ok, enough about hallmark…and back to great savings!
My son picked out a small Peanuts (Charlie brown And snoopy) TV set perpetual calendar. My mom spent her entire career at MetLife, so needless to say she likes snoopy.
I call these cute little trinkets desk charms.. it’s in a fun retro style tv shape, with Charlie Brown adjusting Snoopy’s ears as antennas. It comes with two changeable blocks for the month and the day.
Like most collectable items, it’s a signature product with a signature price tag! The cost for this miniature desk calendar is $29.99… and with just a quick search of my email I found a 50% off one item coupon, just sitting in my inbox. As always, I used my phone number for some additional rewards points and my son saved about 12 bucks on his purchase.
The one chance I get to look cool using a coupon in front of my adult child. 😉 It was a win win.
